Happy New Year! 100th Post

I hope that 2010 will bring you everything you've hoped for! We had a low-key New Year's Eve with a couple of friends watching the (pitiful) UT bowl game.

I sassied (is that a word?) up a couple of cheap cardboard tiaras. That's Caroline & me sporting them and our Tennessee orange. Everything I used, I already had on hand other than the tiaras.

Let's see where I'm at with my unofficial 2009 resolutions, shall we?

Home:
Take down border and paint hall: DONE!
Take down border, sand and paint miniMaster Bath: I didn't do it myself, but it's still DONE!
Make a craft closet: Not done, but there's a new plan for my craft stuff

Craft (short list):
Open etsy shop: technically done, but not stocked
Finish my quilt and name it: not done
Make Eye Spy quilt: done, depending on your definition of "eye spy"
Finish knitting Bella's Mittens: done
Post 5 tutorials: sort of done 1 2 3 4

Well being:
Quit Coke: yeah right - we'll try this again in 2010
Bring the phrases "sicknast" and "2nd hand embarassed" into my everyday vernacular: Done, although I wouldn't say I use them every single day.

In 2010, I'm going to:

Craft:
Stock my etsy shop
Post 5 legitimate tutorials
Finish and name my quilt
Dwindle my stashes (my yarn, my fabric, Grandma's yarn, Grandma's fabric)
Host 2 giveaways (stay tuned)

Home:
Take down border and paint the master bedroom
Decorate my house
Overhaul the spare bedrooms with a trip to Ikea

Well Being:
Quit Coke. Maybe.
Lose 20 pounds. For sure.
Try 2 new fruits and 2 new vegetables
Focus my church responsibilities on what I'm truly passionate about

Cheers!

  2. One of my goals is to "break up" with Diet Pepsi. I haven't had it in 2 days... I miss it; but I am trying really hard. Good luck with it! Love your cute post with the ribbon trees. I tried moss on my foam tree and it looked like a turd! Next year, ribbon! Thanks for the tip. Love your blog....

  3. Fun tiaras! :) I can't wait to see your etsy shop. I'm sure you will sell stuff I love as I love your style.

  5. Happy New Year and Congrats on your 100th post!

Your New Year's hats look great. I like the idea of already having a base to decorate instead of constructing it from scratch. Good idea.
