Littlest on Top!

I had two white cake plates for a while that I wanted to make a set by adding a smaller plate to the top. I found this saucer for 50 cents a while back but wasn't crazy about the candle holder I found to go with it. Finally, I found what I was looking for (at the thrift store for 50 cents) and dabbed a little E6000 on it, stuck 'em together and:

Now I have a complete set of cake plates. The bottom cake plate, I received as a shower gift. The middle I bought from a store that was going out of business for $6. The one I made only cost $1, so now I have a set of 3 cake plates for under 10 bucks! Woot!

Your turned these three items into one lovely tiered service item. Will look wonderful with lots of goodies on it. Best wishes, Tammy

Wow - you're creative. I would have never thought of that.

I found your blog from my good friend, Janna, at 2cool4myminivan.

Have a great day!

They turned out great! I have done this a couple of times and now every time I am at Goodwill I am searching for that next candlestick and plate to stick together!
