Saturday Seven - Children's Accessories

Please please please do what you can to help these shops out. I don't think most people realize how many shops are going to go out of business because of this new law. If enough people make a big enough deal, we can make a change. Sign the petition, email your congressmen and call your local newspapers and news stations!

Saturday Seven - Kid Garb

2. Bright Little Peasant Dress - I could fall over dead at how cute this patchwork dress is! bonbonoriginals has lots of other adorable styles, too, so be sure to check them out!

4. Flutter Butterfly Dress - theprincessandme has free shipping on this cutesy little dress! I love the color and pattern combo!

I think most people don't realize the ramifications of this new law, cause if they did, I'm sure there would be mass hysteria.

Anyway. Here are some of my personal favorite toys from etsy. Buy 'em while you can!

1. Little Red Riding Hood Set - I love this little playset from tenfingerworkshop. Because they're made from wood, they're sure to hold up for ages!

2. Rainbow Play Silk - It's a cape! It's a ballgown! It's a tent! It's hand dyed, from BeneathTheRowanTree.

3. Felt Sack Lunch Set - bugbitesplayfood includes everything you need for a yummy lunch! Well, everything you need for a pretend lunch, anyway.

4. Storybook Blocks - Each block nurserylove makes is unique and so adorable!

5. Custom Cloth Book - I love this idea from exlibrishandmade! The name you choose for the front gets spelled out throughout the book. You can also pick your own theme!

6. Joshua the Dinosaur - I'm a big fan of wooden toys (if you didn't notice already) and I love the simplicity of this dino from BBCrafts!

Saturday Seven - Get Organized! (Monday Edition)

I'm such a slacker! I got completely hooked on the Twilight Saga last week, read all four books in four days and saw the movie twice. Now, I realize I'm 26 and not 16, but have you read them? If you had, you wouldn't blame me!

Onward, to the seven! In light of the new year and all the hope we find ourselves filled with for resolutions that will probably fade by mid-February, here are some ideas that can help you get organized. Ideas that are too good to get sick of.

1. Tory Pocket Organizer - I love the versatility of this pattern from Burda Style. You could use this anywhere from a bathroom to a baby nursery. And it's free! Woo-Hoo!

2. The Undercover Crate - If you ever wondered about a cheap alternative to those cheap plastic ugly, but oh-so-handy crates, Paint in My Hair has got the answer for you! She's even included a free tutorial so you can make your own!

3. Necklace Organizer - Not only is this a super cute way to organize your jewelry, it's also an upcycle project! Cute idea from Laughing Daisies.

4. Fabric Covered Boxes - Got leftover boxes from Christmas? And some fabric scraps? Put them to good use with this tutorial from Wink Designs!

5. Day Planner - The colors etsy seller misseskwittys uses in this day planner are delicious. The best thing about it is that you can slip the old planner out and replace it next year.


6. Upcycled Tackle Box - This box from etsy seller jadedgypsy would be a fun way to stash your beads or other craft supplies. It would definitely keep me motivated on my projects!

7. Strawberry Clothespins - How could you not look forward to your to-do list if it was held together by these sweet clips from etsy seller mamutopia?

Seven x Seven - Holiday Decorations

These are some of my favorite decorations and ideas for your home. Seven ideas, plus interest since I made you wait.

1. Felted Ornaments - I love how Kleas has these hanging all in a row. They're for a swap, but I think they look great in a group, too!

2. Dancing Stamps - Fun and cheap garland idea from cheeky magpie using stamps and paper. It looks intricate and totally worth the careful cutting!

3. Ice Doilies - These would be great for hanging outside. Resurrection fern has instructions so you can make your own!

4. Little House on a Cupcake - These would be fun to give as gifts and would be equally happy on any surface in your home! From splendid things. You can buy one of your own here.

5. Bottle Vases - It's all in the details with this idea from Rebecca Sower. Not content to simply stick the greens in a bottle, (which would still be pretty) she kicks it up a notch by adding glitter and trinkets.

6. Fabric Tree - Pixie Blossoms has an adorable little Christmas tree made from fabric flowers and a Styrofoam cone. Who knew you could make a Styrofoam cone look so pretty?

Seven x Seven - Gifties

Great options for little gifts to make in bulk, say, for a class or a book club.


1. Candy Cane Angel - Some scissors, some paper and a box or two of candy canes is all it takes to make these little favors from Pink Paper Peppermints. She's one crafty lady!


2. Gingerbread Men - These are for spiffing up and not for eating, though I'm sure they smell delicious! Easy peasy instructions from i have to say...

Seven x Seven - Buy Handmade!

These are my some of my very favorite things that you can buy if you find yourself running low on time this holiday season.


1. Portable Dollhouse - This kit comes with a natural wood dollhouse, furniture and peg doll family. You can decorate it yourself (Grace Violet has some adorable examples) or you can leave it blank to encourage imagination.

2. Cherry Blossom Ring - This ring from lulucoco is adjustable, making it ideal for gift giving! Plus, have you ever seen anything like it?

4. Stamped Metal Jewelry - Don't just give a gift, give an heirloom from SoSoBella. This is one of the things I'm looking forward to for when we have kids one day.
