I had my headbands strapped onto a roll of paper towels sitting in my bathroom for several months until I ran out of paper towels one day. For another month or so, they just sat in a jumbled up heap on the sink. I couldn't take it anymore. Neccessity breeds invention, right?
I grabbed some ribbon, buttons, needle and thread and got to work. Fifteen minutes later, my headbands were lined up in an orderly fashion and hanging on the wall, out of the way.
I just took about a yard and a half of ribbon and doubled it over. I handstitched a button to both layers every couple of inches, added a bow and a loop to the top and filled it up! :)
It works for clips, too!

I love this idea! I featured you today at Creations by Kara. :)
This is such a great idea! I love it. And I'd love for you to come link up at my party today: http://fastdaze.blogspot.com/2011/01/linky-fridaze-2.html
Will you sell these? I just don't have time to make this myself!
I hadn't thought about selling them, but I suppose I could do that! Email me about it. sunny [dot] tuesday [at] yahoo [dot] com
I made one of these today! It took me a lot longer than 15 minutes, but it turned out great. I also made this bow to go at the top of it.
I did it double-layered: thick ribbon in the back, thinner ribbon in the front, so that I could clip bows in front and put headbands through the back without getting all the tips and headband teeth tangled. I am quite proud of myself, since you know how un-crafty I am.
And now we have fixed our bathroom counter horrific eyesore bow situation.
Thanks for posting ideas for crafts that are both useful and easy enough for non-crafty people to do!
I wanna see pics, Lauren!
I just made this! Awesome, thanks a bunch!! My daughter will love it! I have hundreds of buttons sitting in a bunch of organized containers and I love to find ways to use the really pretty ones! Thanks again!
Simply Awesome !!!
