Have you noticed how cute they make jewelry for little girls these days? It's not your plastic clip-on charms these days. Little girls of the 10s (the 2010s - it's a decade now, like the 80s!) are tres chic. They are like mini grown-ups. Little girls of the 10s are classy! They wear pearls! With this step up in fashion comes a step up in price. This stuff is adorable, but who can afford it?
But who needs to be able to afford it if you can MAKE it instead? :) That's just what I'm going to show you how to do. Let's knock off this adorable pearl necklace and bracelet set from the J. Crew line for kids, crewcuts.
First up, the Little Girl Pearls Bracelet
Here is the pattern I used to thread on the pearl beads:
1 large, 1 medium, 3 small, 1 medium,
1 large, 2 small, 2 medium, 5 small,
1 large, 1 medium, 3 small, 1 medium,
1 large, 2 small, 2 medium, 5 small,
1 medium, 4 small, 1 medium, 3 small,
1 large, 1 medium, 3 small, 1 medium, 1 large
Easy, right? Also, you've got beads left over. Let's not stop now! We can use those leftover beads to create the matching necklace.
Little Girl Pearls Necklace:

1 large, 1 medium, 2 small, 1 large, 1 medium, 2 small,
1 M, 4 S, 1 L, 3 S, 1 M, 1 L, 2 S, 1 L, 1 M, 2 S, 1 M, 2 L,
3 S, 1 M, 4 S, 1 M, 5 S, 1 M, 2 S, 1 L, 2 M, 3 S, 1 M, 1 L,
4 S, 1 L, 1 M, 2 S, 1 L, 1 M, 2 S, 1 M, 3 S, 1 M, 1L
* Make sure not to pull it too tight! You want enough give that the necklace will lay nicely.
For a fraction of the cost, you can have a beautiful jewelry set to gift to your little trendsetter.
