Kiddos go through clothes SO fast. It can be such a challenge to keep Baby E in clothes that fit and I just have ONE kid. I know I don't even know what I've got coming to me yet. I have to hand it to those of you that have 3, 4 or more kids!
I'm sure y'all remember me mentioning my friend, Jillian. Well, here's the thing. Jillian has 60 kids. You read that right - SIXTY. The big 6-0. That's a LOT to keep up with! Suddenly keeping one little baby clothed seems like a pretty easy task to tackle.
Jillian is having a clothing drive for the next few weeks with a fun little twist! Instead of handing out the clothes, they are setting up a boutique. The kids are earning tickets for tons of things like chores and good behavior. When the boutique opens, the kids will be able to shop for their own clothes with the tickets they have earned.
And here's where you come into play: They Need Clothes!
Jillian has a whole list of what they need and where & how to send it. Gently used hand-me-downs are always welcome, but since this is a craft blog, I'm including a few links of things you can make to send to CHCH!
Here is what they need:
Boys 5-22
Jeans, shorts, dress pants, khakis, athletic shorts, t-shirts, Polos, dress shirts, vests, sports jackets, ties, undershirts, underwear, boxers, pajamas, light-weight hoodies, dress socks, athletic socks, belts, hats, wallets, swimming trunks, dress shoes, tennis shoes, sandals, flip flops
Girls 0-24
Church dresses, formal dresses, formal skirts, casual skirts, capris, dress shirts, casual shirts, bras, underwear, one piece bathing suits, light-weight hoodies, pajamas, belts, hats, purses, jewelry, dress shoes, sandals, flip flops
And here are some tutorials from a few of my favorite blogs:
Kid pants from Made
Retro racer shorts from Made
Upcycled t-shirt dress from I Am Momma Hear Me Roar
Bandana dress from Living With Punks
Women's skirt to girl's dress from Make It & Love It
Boys vest from trousers from Make It & Love It
Ruffle Skirt from Nap Time Crafters
Easy child's belt from Smashed Peas & Carrots
I think I'm going to go through my daughter's clothes and my fabric stash now. :)
