Little E is finally getting enough hair to be able to pull it to the side with a clip. Guys. This is a huge victory!
So I decided to play around with some ribbon and come up with a cute little Easter Egg ribbon clip. It's fairly simple and takes less than 10 minutes.
Here's what you'll need to get started:
4.5" length of 3/8" wide light pink ribbon
4.75" length of 3/8" wide polka dot ribbon
3.75" length of 3/8" wide lavender ribbon
2.75" length of 3/8" wide light pink ribbon
alligator clip*
tiny bow embellishment
*you can find alligator clips in the findings aisle of your craft store, but you can get a box of 100 for around $5 at a beauty supply and they are great quality!
Make sure to heat seal the ends of your ribbon with a lighter to prevent fraying!
Glue each of the ribbons (excluding the 4.5" ribbon) into a teardrop shape.
Stack your teardrops, with the smallest on the bottom and glue at the top points.
Snip the point off the top to create more of an egg shape & heat seal the ends.
Glue your bow embellishment to the top of your egg. This will also cover the ends.
Line your clip using hot glue and the guide below:
Glue the top of the egg securely to the tip of the clip using your hot glue gun. The pinch part of the clip should be at the bottom of the egg.
There you have it! You can of course use your own color combos - make a dozen and put them in Easter Eggs or use them to fill Easter baskets! :)
