Step 1:
Gather your supplies. You'll need:
Felt scraps and matching ribbon
Scrabble tiles
Hot glue gun
Scissors (not pictured)
Craft glue (not pictured)
Embellishments - optional (not pictured)
Step 2:
Cut a length of ribbon long enough to hold the tiles of your choice. For this project, I used the words "Love" and "Peace". Don't forget to add a couple extra inches for the loop.
Step 3:
Place a dot of craft glue about five inches down. Loop the ribbon so the end meets the dot of glue, like so:

Step 4:
Draw a line of glue down the middle of the back of your first tile. Stick it over where the ribbon meets at the bottom of the loop. Continue in this fashion, making sure your tiles are equally spaced. I used my pinkie to measure, but you can just eyeball it.

Step 5:
Cut out felt rectangles to cover the back. Trace another scrabble tile or guesstimate.

Step 6:
Apply craft glue to the back of the tiles, over the ribbon and attach the felt pieces. This helps it to not fall apart when it's hanging and makes it look prettier. If you are going to embellish, do it before attaching the felt to the back. I tried to do it the other way around and ended up with a gluey, felty mess.

Step 7:
Trim the end of the ribbon into tails and heat seal it. Enjoy! These would also be cute as package tie-ons.

Forgive my super fake Christmas tree. That's how we roll.

Very cool! I found a chocolate tile Scrabble game yesterday that would go great with that. Roll on!
what a great idea! love it
I just might have to do this! I'm a Scrabble fanatic, so I'm not sure I could part with any of the tiles from my *four* games. Can I find just the tiles somewhere?
I got my tiles off ebay. Don't pay more than $10/100 tiles. Sometimes the bidding goes high, just wait for the next set. :)
Thanks for the tutorial. I found two sets at garage sales this summer and knew I wanted to use them for projects. This is a fun way to use some of them.

Love this idea with the scrabble tiles! I actually saw a package of these in Michael's when I was looking for something else.
This is such a great idea! I'm off to find some scrabble pieces!
