On-The-Go Pin Catcher

I've got a little project I've been working on for a Secret Santa swap that involves using quite a few pins. With a baby who's recently mobile, I needed a quick place to drop the pins where they would stick.

I grabbed a magnet, flipped it over & voila! Magnetic pin catcher. So handy!

Laundry Quick Tip 4

I realize this is probably common sense to most people, but since it wasn't for me, I'm sharing.

If you shake out your wet laundry before you put it in the dryer, it will dry more quickly without as many wrinkles. And there you have it.

Driving Quick Tip 3

Keep a Santa hat in your car. When you're in the midst of the holiday rush in the mall parking lot, it will come in handy to ward off road rage. Because really, who can be mad at the idiot wearing the Santa hat?

Thrifty Quick Tip 2

When you're filling out Christmas cards, don't toss the ones you mess up. Save them and make tiny paper boxes, perfect for gifting jewelry and other small trinkets.

Instructions here, although I'd recommend drawing lines on the wrong side using a ruler instead of the first two initial folds for a cleaner look.

Yummy Quick Tip 1

Next time you make a batch of brownies, jazz them up by covering the top with York peppermint patties for the final ten minutes. When the brownies are done, swirl the melted Yorks with a knife and enjoy!
